‘GPS’: Locals Write and Produce Full-Length Feature Film

Eric Colley grew up in Tenino with a movie camera in hand. He produced many different short films, but had never attempted a full-length feature film until he started writing the script for “GPS” three years ago.

Colley had an interest in geocaching, an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called “geocaches” or “caches”) anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and “treasure,” usually toys or trinkets of little value. Today, thousands of geocaches are registered on various Web sites devoted to the sport.

The Tenino High School graduate put a suspenseful twist on the game in his film script.

In my opinion this is one of the best movies to come along in a while. Great acting. I liked most of the actors in it. I thought the beginning was a little slow going but boy did it pick up. The cgi was awesome. They really paid attention to detail, like when a transformer put it’s foot down, you saw the gravel, pavement and rubble fly. Bumble Bee is just wonderful as are they all. He has very cool mannerisms.
